About AI Article Pricer and Our Pricing Data
AI Article Pricer publishes what it actually costs to generate an article with the major LLM APIs — 55 models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI and DeepSeek, priced per article rather than per token.

Why this exists
Most LLM cost calculators ask how many tokens you plan to use. If you run a content team, you do not know that — you know you publish twelve 1,500-word posts a month. This tool starts from the thing you actually know: article length, how many drafts you take, and how much brief you send with each call. It converts that into tokens and prices it against every model we track.
Where the prices come from
Every rate is transcribed by hand from the provider's own published pricing page. We do not use aggregators, and we do not estimate. The five sources are:
- Anthropic — official pricing documentation
- OpenAI — official pricing documentation
- Google — official pricing documentation
- xAI — official pricing documentation
- DeepSeek — official pricing documentation
How often prices are checked
Prices are re-verified against all five sources weekly, and immediately when a provider announces a change. The current set was verified on ; that date appears on the calculator itself and in the page's structured data, so you can always tell how fresh the figures are without asking.
Weekly verification is the main difference. Unlike static comparison pages that may go months between refreshes, we re-check every tracked rate against the provider's own documentation every week.
Promotional and time-limited rates are footnoted rather than quietly averaged in. Where a provider charges more above a context threshold, or where a model has no published cache-read rate, the reference table says so.
What we do not do
- We take no affiliate commission and no payment from any model provider.
- We do not rank models by anything except the number the calculator produces.
- We do not claim these figures are your bill. They are list rates applied to a token model — see the methodology for exactly where that diverges from reality.
