Privacy Policy
Short version: the calculator runs entirely in your browser. We do not have your inputs, because they are never sent to us. We set no cookies, and our analytics sets none either.
What the calculator sends us
Nothing. Every figure on the calculator is computed locally in your browser by JavaScript that is served once with the page. Your article length, brief, draft count, monthly volume and rate assumptions stay on your device. There is no form submission, no telemetry call, and no request back to us as you change the inputs. The correction form on the contact page works the same way: it composes an email in your own mail app and submits nothing here.
Cookies
We set no cookies, first-party or third-party. The site stores exactly one
value in your browser's localStorage: your light or dark theme
preference, so the page does not flash the wrong theme on your next visit. It
never leaves your device, and clearing site data removes it. Because nothing
here sets a cookie or builds a profile, there is no cookie banner to click.
Shared links
The Copy link button encodes your current settings into the URL so you can share a specific scenario. Those values are in the link itself — if you paste it somewhere public, whoever reads it can see the settings you chose. That is the only way any input of yours can leave your device, and only if you choose to share it.
Server logs
Our web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, requested path, user agent — as essentially every web server does. They are used to keep the site running and to spot abuse, and are not used to build a profile of you or shared with anyone.
Analytics
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to measure site usage. Ahrefs states that its service uses no cookies and no persistent identifiers; it receives aggregate analytics events such as page views and referrers. Calculator inputs are never sent as analytics data. We deliberately run no cookie-setting analytics, which is why this site has no cookie banner.
Third parties
The page loads one third-party script, the cookieless analytics from
analytics.ahrefs.com described above. It loads no fonts, no
advertising, and no other trackers.
Links to provider documentation are ordinary outbound links; following one takes
you to that company's site, where their own privacy policy applies.
The API
Requests to https://aiarticlepricer.com/api/models are logged like any other
request. The endpoint is read-only, needs no key, and accepts no personal data.
How long we keep data
Server logs are kept only as long as they are useful for security and debugging, then deleted on a rolling basis; we do not archive them. The aggregate analytics counts held by Ahrefs contain no personal identifier to retain or delete. We hold no user accounts and no databases of visitor data — there is nothing else to keep.
Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, we process the little described above — server logs and cookieless, aggregate analytics — on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): keeping the site running, secure, and measurably useful. Nothing on this site relies on consent, which is why nothing asks you for it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data about you. In practice the only personal data we could hold is an IP address in a recent server log; if you want to exercise any of these rights, or ask what we have, contact us and we will answer within the statutory deadline — usually far sooner, since the honest answer is almost always "nothing". We sell no data, so there is no sale to opt out of.
